I was listening to this audio file on the Feast of Tabernacles today and I heard an explanation that I'd never heard before and wanted to share it with you.

Remember when the scribes and Pharisees brought the woman to Jesus that had committed adultery? And remember Jesus stooped and wrote on the ground? And you've probably been asked - have you ever wondered what Jesus wrote on the ground?  And someone will offer their version of what they think. Well, in this teaching, Scripture was presented that was pretty revealing.

Let's look at it together.

John 8:

1 ΒΆ  Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.
2  And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
3  And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
4  They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
6  This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
7  So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
9  And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
10  When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
11  She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

The following OT Scriptures is from where her accusers spoke.

Deuteronomy 19:

16  If a false witness rise up against any man to testify against him that which is wrong;
17  Then both the men, between whom the controversy is, shall stand before the LORD, before the priests and the judges, which shall be in those days;
18  And the judges shall make diligent inquisition: and, behold, if the witness be a false witness, and hath testified falsely against his brother;
19  Then shall ye do unto him, as he had thought to have done unto his brother: so shalt thou put the evil away from among you.

Leviticus 20:

10 And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

Let's see what these accusers did again when Jesus stooped down, not once but twice writing on the ground.

John 8:9

And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

These accusers are totally ashamed because they knew what it meant when Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground. Just the day before they rejected the fountain of Living Waters!

Now, look at this passage from Jeremiah.

So awesome!

Jeremiah 17:

13, 14 O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters. Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.

That's one of those WOW - moments!

If you have seen this connection before, that's wonderful, but it was new to me today and it's just one of the many reasons that I really LOVE God's Word. Everything from the prophets finds some fulfillment in the Jesus.

The teacher, Mark Biltz is a Jew by nationality that is a Christian.

I've listened to 4 audios and enjoyed them as a refresher course from my studies of the Lord's Feasts. He spins his own interpretation of which I do not agree in total. In fact Mark doesn't come right out and say it but I believe he might believe that the Rapture of the Church is not until after the seven years.

Mark also teaches that the Rapture will occur on some future Feast of Trumpets and he gives some pretty convincing Scripture passages to make one consider.

I believe in a Spring Rapture of the Church - but for me personally, I'm looking for Jesus, not a Rapture date. I'm going to share the Gospel of God's Grace rightly divided as best I can until Jesus comes to take me home.

So, if you are solid enough in the Faith and you believe that you have it firmly in your heart regarding right division - then you will recognize those things that are not rightly divided and still gain a great deal from reading and listening from the ElShaddai site.
